HomeCare by Design is a social enterprise start-up company with a passion to help seniors age in place. Our aim is to create a positive impact on our society both through the care we give our clients and how we treat our team. We are a social enterprise that gives our caregivers the opportunity to share in our success through profit-sharing.
HomeCare by Design’s President and CEO
Judy Lane has dedicated her entire 30-year career to helping others. She spent her early days providing one-on-one care as a nurse. She soon realized her passion was helping seniors live a good quality of life as they aged. She quickly transitioned into leadership roles in nursing homes in southern New Brunswick. And over the past 15 years, she has led many innovative changes in the nursing home sector to improve quality of life for seniors living in nursing homes. She is recognized and respected around the province as a change leader and innovator
Today, she is putting her passion, effort and experience into changing how we care for people at home. By combining her nursing degree, business degree and passion for innovation along with her long-time desire to have her own business, she is creating a better experience for people who want to age in place.
Our Team

Our hiring process begins with us thoughtfully selecting our staff. We choose people who care. We choose people who believe in the value and dignity of those who need our help. We rigorously screen and reference check each staff member.
We then invest in their foundation through advanced education and training in the services we provide. Person-directed care, dementia care and rehabilitative care are all part of our core program.
Finally, we believe our success is the direct result of our staff and they should reap the rewards of their exceptional work. We invest in their future. Every member of our staff has the opportunity to reap the benefits of being their best through our profit sharing program.
